Movie watching update
So i finished the 1959 German antiwar film The Bridge, and it was amazing in the 3rd act.
Now i'm going back and forth from a noir Kiss of Death and a movie i've seen before Scorsese's Cape Fear. Which then computes to this startling fact
the joy of movies involves re-watching, ergo by re-watching normally i won't see as much new ones as i had thought i wanted to. It was a childish goal to get to 4k by the end of the year, i therefore state proudly that i will watch whatever the sam hell i wanna!!
In Cape Fear it's a pleasure to see those faces again, that 90's vibe, so precious. The whole thing for me with movies is to escape the current time with movies predominately from the past, as it then makes more sense and is more concrete in the aim, current movies can be a form of escape, sure, but it's dangerous to my psyche, you never know with a recent movie or show. With the old you are playing it safe. The Film Coward, yep, that's me!!
