Film Noirs i'm most looking forward to this month
1. This Gun For Hire - title rings a bell
2. Detour - i've seen it once on a crappy cheap DVD, it's a real hoot though, it's a catalog movie so there'd be supplements too on the channel
3. Brute Force
4. Naked City
5. Thieves' Highway - a trio of Jules Dassin, i wish they'd have more of him there, like Rififi, in Whiplash there's a scene where the dad and son are at the movies and that's what's playing. There's also a scene in Godard's Breathless where it plays in the background.
You know that detective in The Exorcist who wants to see movies and talk film with the priest, i kinda feel that coming on. But i'll never be a film buff that can spit out trivia like nuttin'. I just love to accumulate what's been seen, and now is definitely a time to indulge in the oldies from the 40's and 50's.
Currently on 1942's The Glass Key, but i feel a nap coming on. Wishing you all the best, see ya 'round ....:)
