I can't help posting about what i watch as i see them
So here i'll rave about what i've seen lately
The Game by David Fincher, starring Michael Douglas, whose brother played by Sean Penn gives him a very odd birthday gift ..... It was exciting, and i was stunned by the twist!!
and Sophie's Ways by Moshé Mizrahi, i just loved this to bits, first off it oozes early 70's, 2nd it's FRENCH, 3rd it has the stunning Bulle Ogier, who starred in a handful of some of my all time faves from Bunuel, Rivette to Fassbinder. See previous post for a picture of her. It's also known for having an astounding jazz score, and had been lost till 2019 i think. Fantastique!! Plus it's the clearest imo expression of feminism in a film i've seen. Has a great dramatic crescendo and sticks the landing perfectly.
Now i might watch Day of the Dead, George A Romero's conclusion to the Zombie trilogy.
