I wish movie directors would stop trying to cast as many high end celebrities as they can

It just makes movies all have the same feel to them when it's the same like 20-30 people.

That new Super Mario movie has Chris Pratt playing Mario, but he just sounds like Chris Pratt. Seth Rogen is in it cause he's in everything

It's not just the directors; it's the producers and people arranging the financing for the film. I know that in the 80s/90s they could pre-sell cable and video rights and get money up front, no idea what they do now.

Pretty sure that's why we have incessant reboots, sequels, prequels, and remakes.
