Here i'd like to practice "reviewing" films, this one i just got finished on The Criterion Channel, which has some supplements to enhance the appreciation, almost like owning it physically!!
A French drama about sisters, it was very frank in it's depiction of what i shall vaguely call stuff here. A great film that puts you into the headspace of it's characters, especially the titular sister who uses food to cope. Her more slender sister has her first lover, and they get it on with the other sister trying to sleep and turned away is crying. The sisters bicker at times, but overall they're close. Then the third act happens, i don't want to spoil it anymore for those who'd like to see it, but it's got an abrupt and shocking twist ending.
