What I'm learning while single
My movie/tv style. Changes when I am alone vs. company.
Confession, I can always last through a movie without pauses, and I NEVER fall asleep during a movie.....when I'm with someone/a group.
BUT.....now that I am 2 years single....the real me is that, I pause and look up something else just about every half hour during the movie. *watch show, pause, look something, up, watch movie, pause, look up actor, watch movie, pause, look up recipe* etc.
It is like my brain gets bored.
The movies are actually really good, so it's not the movie.
But usually I think of some product or actor that I think of mid-movie so I want to look it up right away before I forget.
I feel like I have always acted how my partner acted. To make them comfortable. You are vocal? I can be vocal. You like silence? I can be silent.
But I realized what I TRULY am....the middle. The best for me is when myself and someone else are watching a movie, and we are both vocal during the movie, with questions and stuff. BUT at the same time, if an important part comes up, I feel totally comfortable and safe telling them to shh please and vice versa.
The ONE rule we must agree on... in movie theaters...SILENCE. I would NEVER talk in a theater. That is the absolute silent zone.
These days I am trying to find a partner who can be comfortable around me and vice versa.
