Pasolini's debut is today's 4th film
absolutely unrestored, horrific quality, but it makes me think how it was for movie lovers before technology advanced, in this "Waterbearer" edition the subtitles are often unreadable with bright backgrounds, and uncentered, very sloppy looking. But this movie is a precious piece of cinema history, Pasolini was one of the most controversial figures, he made his name with poetry, and then this announced his film voice, using non-actors, and a strong neorealist sense of place with poverty ridden locations. The title is misspelled on the cover too it's Accattone, 2 t's. Yep, this is one film i'd consider upgrading.
