The British people were offered a simple choice: a majority used their own brains and voted for Brexit. Singling out individual advocates is just an insult to a majority of voters.

presumably, some had died since registration, and the tradition of dead people voting has declined over the years... i could not say it has died out entirely.
still, nearby a quarter of British voters did not vote, for whatever reason. so there was no majority of electors for either remain or leave, only a majority of those who exercised their right to vote.
i believe that it will take at least thirty years to make a realistic assessment of the impact on UK of leaving EU. i believe the benefits to the EU of not having a fractious and disruptive UK as a member will be obvious much sooner.
