Why do they make that horrible face in movies while swallowing a pill at though they're being impaled?

They're one of those people that can't swallow pills easily. I have a friend who always needs to have a bite afterwards because she feels as though the pill stuck. But maybe she just wants an excuse to eat, idk 🤔
