A double feature Yakuza show tonight
Both from 1975 and from the same director
Kinji Fukusaku
Cops vs Thugs
&
Graveyard of Honor (also have Takashi Miike's version)
Oh yeah, all his 70's crime movies are imo rewatchable, all these characters, how to keep track of them all, i need at least triple the viewings as a slow to understand viewer would need.
His Doberman Cop will arrive today, and later Street Mobster.
So like it all rewatches a plenty with the 8 Battles Without Honor and Humanity ones, first 5 being the essentials. And of interest will then see Suzuki's Branded to Kill, and Kitano's crime films to get a better grasp on this thrilling genre within the vast scope of Japanese cinema.
