are tv shows of the 1950s in the public domain now

because i was wondering if i could get away with uploading a robin hood episode from the 1950s tv series to my youtube channel, would this now be in the public domain? if not i believe it should be, i'm sick of copyright rules, curse them!!

Just do it. If it gets flagged then it will be removed, that's all that happens as far as I know.
