I think there is no excuse for Will Smith's behavior last nite

he should have gotten in front of Chris Rock and embarrassed him for being such a shit for making fun of a woman with alopecia. instead he got all violent and it ruined the evening

It may have ruined the evening for the others but it didn't ruin the evening or the friendship of Chris Rock and Will Smith. That slap was out of anger, yes. However, when both individuals were at the Gold party after, they both were in good spirits drinking as if nothing ever happened. Why? Because they're brothers who have been through thick and thin with each other for years. It's just tough love. Will doesn't hold grudges and neither does Chris. It shouldn't be such a huge deal as social media makes it out to be. Every friendship isn't going to be perfect, however, everyone's friendship dynamic is not the same either.

@NoobGains I get all of that but like I said a slap was unnecessary last time I checked he is not a woman is he??
@NoobGains You miss the whole point. Dang

@NoGamesTolerated I understand the point. However, what I'm getting at is whether he pulled Chris Rock aside after the show or during the commercial break, embarrassed him as suggested by the person who posted this thread, or restrained himself and went along and laughed to be a good sport... Whatever method he could've used. It doesn't change the fact that as a person, there are feelings. When your feelings have been disrespected, you don't know how to react to them. Some people would cry instantly, stepped away, become combative, etc. It's unfortunate that the majority of the time when our feelings have been tested, we instantly go to the first emotion we feel and lash out. However, the event already happened and neither Chris nor Will felt any type of way about it. We cannot judge whatsoever. He didn't react with malicious intent. He and Chris are close friends. Sometimes, your best friend steps out of line from time to time. It's okay. It's not the end of the world. We cannot judge, we're imperfect. We're all striving to be better individuals and slip up once in a while. Social media and society feel some type of way about this incident though, and that's between the internet themselves. I respect and understand everyone's opinions and thoughts on the matter, but it really is not that serious. Let us move on.

how would getting in front of him and embarrassing him been any better? He is a grown man!! what he could have done is pulled him to the side after the show
SW-User
@DIABLISS well yeah if he talked in a separate segment but what he did will pretty much ruin his career
@SW-User i hope so...then his acceptance speech was so fake. he was crying and going on about how much you have to take when you are a celebrity....! he didn't care at all until his wife was mad. then he boiled over...
SW-User
@DIABLISS the wife knew her reaction would get that rise out of him jada and will are both to blame

Neither party faired well. Being honest though it's very easy to say we should stay calm and another to actually do so when the situation arises!

It all looked so set up though.
@MrsRachelEvans i couldn't tell but when he started cursing at him, that looked real
lumberjackslam · 41-45, M

SW-User
