I am kind worried, an excited..watching the last season, and hints of the next ( as yet unseen by me) i felt a "disturbance in the force" are they getting bored? and product placement. is this brilliant creativity past it's day? or is there more to show? I was surprised re-watching at how much of what was foreshadowed was well foreshadow! who might expect, literate values in a tv comic i din't even know at the time just how well connected this thing was..I think there is more to know Eager for the rest..
[c=008099]OPPOSITION VIEW: R&M is just more self satisfied snark, "I am soo jaded and soo bored by everything in the universe it is all just sooo mediocre. I am too cool to care, and anyone that does is just an idiot." Snark is only funny for a while. a short while. nothing to see here, just move along.
Love the show, hate the community, from the idiots jumping on counters in McDonalds screaming about pickle Rick to the Mensa wanabees who think the show is made for intellectually superior people.
I have yet to watch the new season but I've seen all the old ones and I like the show a lot. I tend to be a literalist when I watch TV because it's how I can get into the show, by taking it as "it's in that universe and different laws count for different universes." Therefore the show is quite fun if you entertain the idea of alternate realities and universes, which are fun concepts.
I kind of like the old show Sliders for that reason, the concept is nice.
I think its great. I think people spend way to much time pouring over and obsessing over a irreverent cartoon. Enjoy it while it lasts, it doesn't have to be perfect.
