Tonight's film will be OUT OF THE PAST (1947) - Jacques Tourneur

Tis one of the most iconic film noirs i have a copy of, with Robert Mitchum, a confusing plot like The Big Sleep, which i also have but haven't located that one yet, it might be in the laundry room, my objective for the nights are these types as i psych myself up for more than 60 noir or hardboiled crime novels. Earlier watched some videos, one nice lady who was promoting her own noir novel was explaining the noir genre with Dostoevsky's Crime and Punishment as foreshadowing it, how it ticks off the essential buttons wherein the protagonist is flawed, coming from a broken place and all that. Another hallmark is that NOONE in the tale is good, that everyone is just a stone's throw away from being a bad person. Just ya know cementing what i learn by relaying in words. So about 5 hours till i can pop in this film, by the end of it i will be exhausted, the wake period will then be quite full. 5 more hours of books, maybe some music and wonderful SW ......:)
