What movie was this? [I Like Movies]

I remember seeing a movie clip a long time ago that looked like it was from an 80's sci-fi film. Morbid curiosity is getting the best of me. All I saw was police officers investigating a scene in a bedroom where a person on the bed had been killed and... how do I describe it... they were covered in alien-like growths and fused to the bed.

My brain just wants to see what happens next lol. Does anyone know what movie that could have been?
