Did you ever see the movie, Little Monsters? [I Enjoy Movies]

I have, and I just got done watching it on Netflix. Such a good movie.

So either after a movie or during, if I see something I don't understand I go into this, analyze mode, to try to figure out what it is I just saw, to understand it. So if you've seen this movie then you know Brian and Maurice become friends during, but at the end, they have to say goodbye to each other.

Why is this? It's the only part of the whole movie I never understood. Let's say that when Brian gets back home from California, that underworld is still going to be there. Is it because Brian knows if he keeps going to the underworld he will turn into a monster too, and so decides to say goodbye? Can't Maurice keep coming up from the underworld to stay friends with Brian?

If you understood this ending please explain it to me lol. I honestly don't get it.

Thanks if you can help out :)

Omg I love that movie!!!

Yeah he can’t keep going because he will become a monster 😔 But I don’t see why Maurice couldn’t still visit him honestly 🤷‍♀️ Unless they were going to change the rules or something now that Boy was gone...

@Starchild1983 Yea with Boy and Snik gone, the rules have totally changed. Well, the basic sun rule still applies I would guess, but yea, I see no reason why Maurice couldn't continue to visit Brian.

@Starchild1983 I've never cried to any movie, except when I saw The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe live action movie. Like the last 5 or 10 minutes of the movie, I had a very very small moment.

@twiigss I cry all the time during movies lol. I have seen that one but I don’t remember it very well so I don’t remember the ending

@Starchild1983 Awwwww 🤗

Yea it's been a while since I've seen the movie actually. But I remember it being very well done. I loved how when they entered the wardrobe, time stopped in the real world. So they grew up and became adults in the otherworld, and when they came out of the wardrobe, they were kids again. That HAD to be confusing as all hell. I couldn't imagine something like that ever happening. I'd be in a state of shock.

@twiigss I did remember that part lol but it kinda had to end like that didn’t it? So it could be happy..
