Doctors can be so negative that they make some people give up hope for healing. I am glad he accepted his own personal challenge and refused to believe them

@cherokeepatti I am too. Stupid doctors. I just came from one, a rhuematologist, who did nothing except prescribe me the meds that gave me the chills and a pain med that makes me severely sleepy, and doesn't take care of the pain. She told me there was no issue, despite tests that show I have something auto immune going on. I was sent to her so that she could run additional testing. She told me that by the results of the PREVIOUS TEST, nothing can be done.

I called PCP and explain that I needed a new RA referral. They're like, you already saw an RA.
It's so rediculous. They won't help you unless you're bleeding about to die.

@iamnikki I understand all too well. My daughter had 3 autoimmune conditions starting when she was 12 years old and I went through hell to get a proper diagnosis with testing and treatments, took nearly 3 years. You would think that they were the ones paying for it. I don鈥檛 even want to go to a doctor for my own arthritis, and it showed up in xRays when I got chiropractic treatment 13 years ago

@cherokeepatti how come you don't want to go to a doc? I'm set to get steroid injects in my neck for pain. I'm scared of it becoming worse with the injection and I don't know the cost.

@iamnikki I cant take any of the painkillers that they suggest for arthritis and my doctor is steroid happy. I refuse to take them. Women usually blow up with weight gain and steroids only treat symptoms temporarily. It is a hormone and I am wary about anything that messes with the natural balance.... could be linked to development of cancer. I have used Boswellia and ginger and other herbs to help with no adverse side effects. I have read recently that Holy Basil also known as Tulsi can help with the joint swelling and will try to find some plants to grow it and buy the herbs if I can鈥檛 to make Tulsi tea

@cherokeepatti :) we have to always remember that doctors have a "practice" and never really a "for sure". Even if when they stomp their foot and insist, they are still practicing.

@cherokeepatti yea I'm not too sure about it. I recently bought a neck traction device since according to Nurse Practitioner, that's the only thing that will cure me.
Scared of the injection. Do you have allergy to the side effects of other athrtis meds?
I've recently started taking turmeric with ginger capsules. I try to take the collagen when I remember. I need to take the collagen out my cabinet. Its so chalky though, ill buy capsules when I run out.

@iamnikki No, it鈥檚 that they are very harsh on my stomach & digestive system. I guess it鈥檚 something genetic. My niece was using Advil and her intestine ballooned out and she had to have a section of it removed. I couldn鈥檛 even take an aspirin when I had headaches as a child, it would make me throw up and so did Pepto Bishop, it has the same thing in it. I might be allergic to codeine cause if I eat anything with poppy seeds in it I start breaking out in hives and itching. I don鈥檛 want to take codeine anyway, it鈥檚 an opiate.
@iamnikki Do you have rheumatic arthritis?
