i just watched it a couple of days ago. wasn't quite what i expected, but it was just strange enough to watch all the way through. i probably won't ever watch it again, or read the book. just to be fair, i was pretty sick when i watched it, so it may have seemed exaggerated to me at the time.

@jellyfishman that part bemused me as well. it sorta turned into a low-key musical for that scene. the sentiment was relatable, for me, and the snowiness was kinda dreamy. i'm glad i saw it, ultimately. i just wonder if my illness made it feel slightly disjointed, or if it really was that trippy, lol.

@SW-User I guess both..! The movie was pretty dreamy to me as well, like when you are lying down before sleep and your unconscious mind talks in a language that doesn't make sense lol!

i watched it a second time. it dawned on me that she wasn't real, just a figment of his imagination

@wackidywack Now that I am watching the movie again fully knowing that she's just a fantasy, it makes the movie experience a completely different one!

@jellyfishman the teller for me was when she looked at the photo 😄

@wackidywack That's so fast..!! I was thinking this girl is so traumatized by her childhood memory and was refusing to see/accept new things and interpret everything through her past until the second half of the movie..!! XD
