Any with VR Headset Experience?

Mrs. Budwick and I are not gamers.
But, don't fear technology either.
We've been thinking that maybe a VR Headset might make watching movies a better experience. Maybe they have programs that allow visual immersion at unusual places we can't actually travel to.
If you have experience / knowledge on the topic and are willing to share -
let me have it!

The technology is not advanced enough yet to be that much more enjoyable. Short films are available which are promotional videos for the vr tech. If you’re planning to pick up a headset,go for the one with the best resolution. Those slide your mobile phone into it kinds are worthless. I personally get nauseous after about 15-20 minutes

@Bagalamaga Thanks Humbug.
I'm looking at Occulus Go. It's inexpensive compared to gaming models.
I don't know what the resolution is.
Nausea is one of Mrs. Budwick's concerns.
