Friday the 13th is the lamest franchise with Jason, the shittiestest slasher?

Jason was an admitted rip off a michael myers... he is just an inferior version of what horror directors went for with Leatherface or Michael Myers. His movies are corny as hell, the dialouge is the silliest stuff ever, and Jason as a character has zero development and no scare factor. With the hallween movies, at least the people he kills have some connection to the greater lore of the movie, while jason's kills are peeps who have no relation to them and are such generic 80s slasher archetypes... and they don't even know anything about Jason until right before their deaths.

Do ppl only like friday the 13th films for nostalgia or that "it's so bad it's good" factor?
