Is Vikings a really good series?

I have not watched tv series in about 10 years. I have heard that game of thrones isn't that great and fans are crazy somehow. Would you recommend Vikings? Is it good from the start or I have to go thru bad episodes first?

Vikings is good from the get go. Game of Thrones is fine too...just wanted something more at the ending.

Breaking Bad is epic, if you haven't seen that.
