Did you see the live All in the Family/Jeffersons?

Very odd. Woody Harelson was not good as Archie, but Jaime Foxx was hysterical as George. Carol O'Connor and Jean Stapleton were genius!

I thought Jamie and Marisa were the best by far. I remember watch those episodes when they originally aired.

@Cervincio They had to bleep out the N word which sure shows how we've either progressed...or, not.

@SW-User Yeah. The n word was deemed too offensive this time around. But apparently honky still isn’t.
@Cervincio They’re not comparable at all.

I think the original shows did not have the N word as we think about it. But the one that was in typical use at that time in history. With E as the second letter. It’s lame we can’t use the actual words in a discussion.@SW-User
@JenKarl "Negro" is outdated, and mildly offensive the way referring to women as "broads" is.

I understand. But they should not have bleeped it. Nor should we worry about using it in a discussion. I would not use it as a label or insult. But it isn’t the n word. Colored which was used seems as offensive.

I see it the same as censoring Huckleberry Finn.@JenKarl
