Media player for Australia?

Looking for some feedback on media players in Australia. I currently use a WD tv live which is slow and out of date. I've been looking online for a media player that I can use with an external hard drive, google home and a steaming service like Netflix or Amazon. Anyone have any suggestions? Please remember I'm in Australia so I might be limited to options.
