So now they want to take out awards that we see on tv?

Now they are saying that some awards are going to be on during the commercials because the show lasts too long...How about they take out the stupidly ridiculous skits that make me want to turn the channel? How about they have Billy Crystal write the funny skits for the Oscars since he is too old now to be host? How about the technical awards have their own prime time Oscars? Most of them we have to watch on the internet anyway?

@PlumBerries It always has been. In 1973 Marlon Brando sent a Native American to represent him at the Oscars. When he won for The Godfather the Apache Indian went to the podium and said:

"I'm representing Marlon Brando this evening and he has asked me to tell you ... that he very regretfully cannot accept this very generous award. And the reasons for this being are the treatment of American Indians today by the film industry —"

That's one of many examples.
