Did your schools have TVs in all the classrooms if so what were they used for

Yes, they all had TVs. They were ostensibly for showing educational movies, but in some classes we never used them.

When I was in 8th grade there was only 1 TV in our junior high school and it was in the science classroom.
I was in that class in 1963 when JFK was killed and watched all the coverage.

No. They were limited. We had to sign them out at the library. We mostly watched them on days with substitutes or for documentaries relating to the class.
