I was surprised and sad, however, he wanted to leave the show. It's hard to keep actors around when they want to move on.

Hands down, this season is the best it's been since the beginning. The Whisperers are creepy AF! Can't wait for it to come back in Feb.

@zeeva70 I didn't know he wanted to leave the show, now it all makes sense. Wonder who'll be next, Carole? Don't want her leaving, she's a badass, burnt the rest of the saviors. lol

Sounds like the whisperers are going to take over the hill top, that's what I got from the next up coming episode in February.

@Synyster Yes, he became bored with his role because he wasn't doing the action stuff he wanted; the kind of stuff he did in his final scene before he was killed.

Melissa McBride and Norman Reedus just signed mega franshise deals so they'll be on for the next 3 years. A new contract with Danai Gurira is more complicated to negogiate because she's now become a breakout star in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. She says she still wants to be on the show and TWD will take whatever she gives them.
