Otaku is a derogatory word in Japan. In America, it’s a badge of honor. We have instead coined the term weeaboo which is equally as offensive to its Japanese counterpart.
@Melpomene Same thing as an otaku but with the Japanese inflection. It fits the English language better to properly degrade people who love anime. It’s a pretty offensive term.
