Star Trek: Why in First Contact did The Borg only send one Cube, when in Best of Both Worlds it proved one Cube wasn't enough?

I know they only send as many ships as they need to, but sending the exact same attack force against an enemy that now expects you AND has developed new ships designed to combat The Borg even when the previous force had failed seems illogical.

It's obviously for the movie/tv shows to make it so the hero wins. let's be real, the Borg could send an armada and it's doubtful any civilization could actually stop them. That wouldn't be much of a movie, send 3 cubes movie's over in the first battle sequence. OK that was fun 馃槀

@SW-User Still though, we know that Starfleet can kill one Borg cube, even in First Contact Starfleet sustain less casualties in this battle (In the first real battle they lost 39 ships)

There's no escalation of danger, they're not changing, even though the whole thing with The Borg is that they adapt, they could've at least had two Borg Spheres (Introduced in the same movie) serving as some sort of escort force.
