To those who fight them, wars cannot be anything but personal. But there has been many a fine soldier who mourned the necessities and the actuality of war.
When you are in a pitched battle with the enemy, it must surely help to regard them as vermin. When you are online from your living room and still can’t entertain the idea of the enemy as human (cruel, vicious, depraved - but human), it is no longer the enemy who is being dehumanized.

As it should. Sometimes I wonder ... if there is another extensive war...what atrocities will happen, after our immersion in atrocities real or fictional? We are nearly immune to horror.
@Mamapolo2016 true. Very true😔

If you don't like the idea of people burning to death, perhaps watching films that glorify WW2 isn't the best option.

All war movies are bullshit propaganda for overgrown 12-year-olds.
