The Last Jedi (spoilers ahead)

@Doomflower I wouldn't call outperforming 7 outta 8 movies of your own franchise dying, but what do I know.

@SW-User I think part of that is tickets cost way more now than they did even 10 years ago.

@smmartydude Rogue One came out last year.

Yes, but a lot of people didn't see that because it wasn't part of a trilogy. No one outside of hard core star wars fans cared about that story.

@smmartydude It was the second highest grossing film of 2016...

@smmartydude and i thought rogue one was better movie than this new trilogy.

On its own it was a really good movie...I think it helped that personally I had no expectations going in so I enjoyed it.

@SW-User I must intervene: Rogue One was NOT a good movie. The editing and pacing was all over the place. TFA and TLJ are well made movies, just not very good Star Wars movies. Rogue One is an okay made movie that only did so well because it was a great Star Wars movie.

@SW-User dude both those movies sucked. both terrible scripts. tfa was pretty much a rip off of the first star wars movie.

Personally, I don't care if something is a "good Star Wars movie" or not....if it entertains me, I like it. Rogue One entertained me, as did Force Awakens and Last Jedi...I just wanted the surprise twist that I never got.

@SW-User A movie isn't well made because you liked it more than others.
A well made movie has good pacing, clean editing, good camerawork etc.
I love Birdemic. It's a great trashy mess, but it's not a good movie.
I dislike Gravity because it's stupid as fuck, but it's a well made movie.

Rogue One suffered from extensive reshoots and it shows.
The first two acts are all over the place and the editing is horrible. Time jumps, constant change of planets and story lines, etc.
TFA and TLJ had some pacing problems too, but nowhere near the scale of Rogue One. They were simply better made movies.

That wasn't a surprise!!!!! Luke literally evaporated...lame...and Snoke, if you didn't see that coming a mile away, I don't know what to say.

P.s. please take into account I'm not a huge Star Wars junkie....I just enjoy the movies. I'm sure people have much more insight into these things than I do....and I don't mean to offend any hard core fans.

yeah.. i guess this movie has such a good script and is over all such a great movie that it has a 52 percent rating by fans on rotten tomatoes.

@SW-User If you would fucking read anything I wrote you might understand that a movie can be the shittiest thing on earth, but still be well made. From a technical perspective.
But since I wrote that three times already and you're too dense to get it, I'll stop now.
