The Spy Who Loved Me is on TV for the millionth time, is that the most sexist title scene ever?

It is embarrassing to watch.

Yes, I see what you’re saying. But that was the entire premise of James Bond, which came out during the heyday of Playboy magazine. Purely a man’s fantasy: action and adventure, toys and gadgets, Bond girls to use and discard along the way. Ironically, one of my favorite tv shows came out around the same time (The Avengers) but Mrs.Emma Peel was badass in her own right and fully participated. She was not “window dressing”.

@bijouxbroussard Ha! I misread what OP said. I thought she said it was the sexiest, not sexist.

@bijouxbroussard Emma Peel was the real deal!

@bijouxbroussard Dianna Riggs was intelligent as well. Mrs Peel and Mr Steed worked great together.

But Dianna Riggs became a Bond girl, actually Mrs. Tracy Bond, James Bond's wife in "On Her Majesty's Secret Service".
