I Love Movies
I was watching John Wick yesterday night and, man, I gotta say, it's a pretty special little action flick. Being a huge Keanu Reeves fan it's always a pleasure seeing the dude finishing a solid movie, but this one is simply gorgeous. The whole bathhouse/rave-scene is nothing more than pure style. Something for the film history books
Considering other action movies only give you the action with some troubled anti hero on top, this movie not only gives you perfect reason for the actions John Wick takes, but also his background, alot of the lore regarding the underground contract killer society and besides that and interestingly enough a view point of the movie as a generational-conflict piece between characters like Keanu's and Mikael Niqvist's and the son of him and son's friends. Kinda a clash of old "respectable" crime vs. new "status icon" crime.
