In the movie Moana, did her dad hate her when she was a teen?

The chier got pissed off and stormed off after calling out "PRINCESS" Moana for being a stubborn pain in the ass! Not baby Moana, when Moana got older, a teenager. The scene when he and Moana were having an argument. Her dad got furious and said brutal harsh things for wanting to go in the ocean and snatch the oar out of her bad and yelled at her. Most dads are angry and bitter towards their teen daughters. Just like A Ariel's dad. Yelled at her and hate her. See dads do hate their teen daughters. I would have yelled at Moana too. She was a stubborn pain in the ass.

No. He didn't hate her. He was protecting her. His belief was that ocean would one day kill her. All her life she had been trying to go in the water. He finally just had enough. Sometimes dad's can lose their tempers, too.

@AnnaChristie95 Nope. yelling doesn't always equal hate. It can equal frustration. Or fear. Or uncertainty.

@AnnaChristie95 Not necessarily.

Sure, he was overly protective of his daughter. But boys come with a whole other set of problems.
