Are you picky when it comes to comedy movies?

I prefer the classics. John Candy, Richard Pryor, Chevy Chase... I am not a fan of stupid comedy. Such as the parody's.

Classic comedy goes back to the 1930's and 40's, the screwball type for example, the finest example i know of is His Girl Friday, directed by Howard Hawks.

@SW-User I think I prefer sketch comedy to movie comedy...so different...I watch that movie when it comes on mostly because I adore Ros Russell and never can get over how fast they all talked

@SW-User I've seen some of the Martin and Lewis stuff, not very repeatable in my view.
