Do you think Scorsese and Tarantino are secretly racist?

Considering how often they seem to write scripts with actors using racial slurs lol I'm just posing a question. I don't really care if they are because their brilliance compensates. But I do know I always cringe a little when Tarantino says to Samuel L Jackson "Is there a sign above my house that says dead nigger storage?"

I wouldn't be surprised. But to my mind brilliance can't compensate for that. It's one of the reasons I don't really follow Tarantino's movies.

@IAbandonedShip I understood. And it's why I can't. I don't know that they're racist necessarily. But the movies make me uncomfortable.

@bijouxbroussard Tarantino was called in to do on-set script polishes for Crimson Tide. When Denzel Washington saw he was there, he was immediately taken to task for his use of language. That by all reports it went well is enough for me, and I'm glad. I love both of those guys.

I believe that Samuel L. Jackson would have eaten him for breakfast on the set of Pulp Fiction. The character QT played was, to me, clearly a satire of a closed-minded guy who said "dead n storage" but was assuaged with oak furniture.
