Anyone boycotting ESPN?

ESPN has chosen to not allow a commentator named Robert Lee to commentate a Virginia football game because his name could be offensive.
katielass · F
yes, I'm boycotting espn for their racist decision to remove an Asian American from broadcasting a game.
katielass · F
@puck61 I don't watch espn anyway but if I did I'd boycott them for this asinine act. And their revised revised statement that the guy needs protection from the racists? That doesn't even make sense, wouldn't racists like Robert E. Lee. The ones he might need protection from would be those violent leftists. After all, it was a leftist who knifed a man who allegedly had a racist haircut. Whatever that is.
@katielass Unfortunately 'white trash' will come out of the woodwork, and level the proverbial playing field, while providing a surplus of 'ammunition' for the grievance industry. Sad days.
katielass · F
@puck61 yep.

I think he thought it was a good idea because his name would become the major story, rather than the game. And now it is still the story! I think ESPN was in a damned if you do damned if you don't situation and in the future he will probably be involved with the broadcast of a Virginia game.

@MrBrownstone Yes, I know whenever I hear it I think of Asians. But then I don't obsess about racism in an effort to hide my own racist thoughts.

@katielass Most reporters aren't very bright.
katielass · F
@HoraceGreenley I've noticed. At one time journalists had a general knowledge of many things and these days they don't know sh*t from shinola.
Bubbles · 36-40, F
I saw that. I don't watch ESPN but I sure think that is stupid
HoraceGreenley · 56-60, M
ESPN is catching Hell for that move. Then again, I only watch ESPN for Monday Night Football anyway.
katielass · F
@MrBrownstone That is what it was about until they decided it was about slavery. Kind of odd considering yanks had as many slaves.
@katielass and everyone else.

FABRICATED SELECTIVE OUTRAGE

Oh! Let me sound off with a loud and thundering "HISTRIONICS" for my biggest fan while I'm here!

@puck61 lol
SilverSurfer · 61-69, M
This is proof that ESPN is run by leftist snowflakes
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
@SilverSurfer You maybe onto something.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
Oh geez when will this nonsense end? He was apparently OK to be a commentator before this recent political stuff happened and now because he happens to have the same name as a Confederate leader he is being excluded....🤦...I don't watch it but would boycott if I did...something's gotta give here....
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
@cherokeepatti Hopefully soon. Not sure why all this nonsense wasn't going on last 8 years. I would sue if I was him.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
Yeah the previous 8 years, eh? It didn't happen then...
NeuroticByNature · 41-45, F
Wow. Thats the dumbest fucking thing Ive ever heard.
NotYourPepper · 41-45, F
That's fucking stupid.
GBPackersFan · 41-45, M
I'm a sports junkie but I hate the political side of it such as what you mentioned. It's totally wrong but when I watch sports I drown out all the off the field crap.
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
@GBPackersFan You use ESPN for your fantasy league?
Tminus6453 · M
I havent watched espn in a long time...only if there is an NFL game on i'll watch
Deadcutie · 18-21, F
I don't even watch espn so I guess yes by default
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
😳
This is typical. I got blocked yesterday (again) for telling the truth. I simply stated a fact that confronts the narrative. This is what happens now.
lorne13 · 61-69, M
he got to be famous because of his name, it was good PR
NeuroticByNature · 41-45, F
Thanks for sharing though.
