What is the greatest acting performance of all time

My vote goes to Heath ledger as the joker I have never seen a character pulled off so well in my life and I doubt I ever will again

Good choice. Who knew the guy could act ??
For me it would be Gary Oldman. Probably for the same reason !
He plays nutters and psycho's very well, if you see his earlier work.
But his portrayal of Mason Verger in the movie 'Hannibal' is really good !
Quite something for any actor to be made completely unrecognizable and still do a brilliant job.
By the same token, Tom Cruise in Tropic Thunder (i think?)
Oh he is greatest for sure

@Daddygirl00 The only other performance that comes anywhere close was Russel Crowe in Gladiator at least according to me

Dustin Hoffman, Tootsie
Brad Pitt in Legends of the Fall

again that security dude in buck rogers of the 25th. century in the space vampire episode.

there he was.. alone well.. being beaten up by an invisible enemy.
my god that was great! lmfao!

he sure could pratfall and work with gravity with such ability and grace. he made it look as if there was really an invisible force kicking his ass.
