Nobody understands how fucked we are because the media is underreporting on it and because of rhetorical satiation. Everyone has been saying the world is doomed for years and years over less serious things. Now the world actually is doomed and there is no language to describe it with.

The destruction of the east-west pipeline in Saudi Arabia escalates things so much. That was 5% of pre-war oil supplies. They're not gonna be able to fix it while Iran-aligned countries keep bombing it. The Red Sea is not going to reopen. The only way to fix this is for America to stand up to Israel and they're not doing it. The US is built to be so, so oil dependent. We can't fucking go to the park or the grocery store without gasoline. And even better designed countries are not immune. There's not going to be enough fertilizer.
