@gol979 The most worrisome part that I’ve heard is that there is a definite possibility that US military lives may be lost. That’s not something that is often vocalized when the forces go kinetic. I really hope that all the military personnel involved can come through this unharmed. 🤞

@RunTheJulz unfortunately that might be the point. Theres zero reason for the american government to be involved in war with iran but if american military gets a retaliatory response from iran, guarantee this will be used as justification to go fully hot war

@gol979 So they are. Yet is it enough? I question that. The Senate needs to change more. It needs to be a massive change to be any difference.

@DeWayfarer i was going to say i hope so......but its getting to the point where hoping is becoming inertia, while the epstein class makes their moves. Change is not going to come through popping a mark on a piece of paper every few years (voting) to decide the lesser of 2 evils

@gol979 It's the constitutional realities that I am concerned about. Executive powers are too great to be over come by a simple majority in either parts of Congress. To overcome a Presidential Veto requires a ⅔rds majority in both.

The Israeli aircraft and missiles/drones are taking off from Israeli bases and some of the US aircrafts are taking off from Israeli bases as well as US bases in the GCCC.

@Northwest Missiles and aircraft are being deployed from US ships in the Mediterranean. I can’t believe that you’re not aware of this. Two aircraft carriers are not just there for looks.

I meant continue reading the thread, less than one minute following my initial post.

I subscribe to חַדְשׁוֹת הָאָרֶץ and wen I looked, about a couple of hours after the initial strike, the headline was that Israel started hitting Iran. So I checked الجزيرة and they said that the US is taking part. The NYT at the time was only aware that it was an Israeli operation.

So, about a minute later, and that would be more than 19 hours ago, I added that the US is also part.

When I said:

Which was in response to what I said:


You're responding to something not related to what I said but I'm sure I missed in חַדְשׁוֹת הָאָרֶץ , the NYT and the WSJm and my CNN subscription that the US had two carrier groups wihin striking distance of Iran. Yes, I'm sure this is the case.
