Jews say they are the chosen people… I wonder who discovered that😂

Top | New | Old
Every group thinks they're special, nothing unusual there. Chosen people however refers to bring chosen to receive the law, so it's a recognition of responsibility, not privilege. Many Christians believe that the chosen people designation passed from the Jews to them. I wonder who came up with that one.

nobody, just a joke
Not that they even have much to do with the ancient Israelites. Today's Ashkenazi Jews probably have about as much Israelite ancestry as any other population from Central Europe.
@BohemianBabe The Khazar theory was debunked.
@LeopoldBloom I wasn't referring to that. I mean that the ancient Israelis were absorbed into various local populations through mixing. Ashkenazi Jews are basically Germans who practiced Judaism instead of Christianity. Being German, I probably have just as much Ancient Israelite DNA as any Ashkenazi Jew. Same goes for the Spaniards and the Sephardi Jews.
