Are you familiar with the concept of war?
Basically one side will commit an aggressive act against another side.
Usually this elicits a similarly aggressive response from the other side.
This results in armed conflict,both sides attempting to kill as many of the other sideas possible,until one side has had enough and then tries to achieve a peaceful solution,but often one side will reject this solution and decide both sides can no longer co-exist.
In this instance,Hamas killers broke into the state of Israel,and began slaughtering Israeli citizens who were young women,men and even children.
Israel thus decided it cannot co-exist anymore with Hamas...the rest is history.
The moral is:Dont start a war against an enemy who is infinitely more militarily powerful than yourselves.
