Spanish government official calls for sanctioning Israel to stop its "genocidal assault" on Gaza

What about the official's own possible double standard? She says Israel's military operation is "planned genocide" of Palestinians. Will she admit that the Hamas terror assault on southern Israel on October 7 had nothing to do with the occupation but was pure Jew hatred? What about that?

Ione Belarra, minister of social rights in Spain’s socialist-communist coalition government issued her statement on X:
[Netahyahu’s] government is carrying out war crimes in the Gaza Strip—massive bombings, water and electricity cuts—they do not allow humanitarian aid to enter. … Reporting that genocide is not ‘aligning with Hamas,’ it is a democratic obligation. Silence, complicity with terror
@Northwest You didn't point out that she is using whataboutism. "What about Ukraine?" she asks.

I'm sure in your own mind, you think you have a point. Whatever that is, it's not related to anything I said, so I'll add another strawman to your glorious record.
@Northwest You're so perceptive.

How is your comment . . .
. . . related to anything I said?

@flipper1966 Looks like you forgot what you posted. Here it is:

The tweet I posted addressed that issue. As to what aboutism, it looks you did all that by yourself. See the section I highlighted above. It does not get any more whatabout than that. 🤣
@Northwest Whataboutism is permissible to highlight the other party's double standard.

And please tell me what logical fallacy I am using. I'm dying (speaking metaphorically) to find out.

@flipper1966 And you continue to drift away from my comment.
@Northwest Thank you for another entertaining and enlightening exchange. I look forward to our next encounter.

@flipper1966 I'll wait for you produce proof that she's driven by her hatred of Jews. Then you can have a conversation, as opposed to a gif of an article from a right wing organization.

Strawman?

-- I did not state that she is driven by hatred of Jews or that she is anti-Semitic.

--I questioned the motivation of Hamas' October 7 terror attack on Israel. Was it a political statement protesting Israel's occupation of Gaza or was it motivated by anti-Semitic animus.

Jean-Paul Sartre wrote a play called Dirty Hands (Les Mains Sales).

A political drama set in the fictional country of Illyria between 1943 and 1945, the story is about the assassination of a leading politician. The story is told mainly in the form of a flashback, with the killer describing how he carried out his mission. The killer's identity is established from the beginning, but the question is whether his motivations were political or personal. Thus, the play's main theme is not on who did it but on why it was done.

Kinda like the Gaza War. Is Israel's assault on Gaza ethnic cleansing or is it a political attack on Hamas? Was Hamas' terrorist spree in Israel on October 2023 a political statement about the occupation or was it simply a murderous expression of Jew hatred?
@Northwest

Incidentally, this assesses Al Jazeera as left-leaning and not
a right wing organization.
@flipper1966 So many strawman propositions, it's hard to pick one to start with. But, then again, I am not one to engage in strawman arguments. Your responses should be to my comment, not your imagination.
@Northwest I view exchanges here as conversations not debates. But, hey, that's me. I like freedom to express ideas.
