They came to Spain through Morocco, but they're not strictly people of the Maghreb. They could have included people from the entire Muslim Levant and Maghreb.

To a certain extent yes, especially some people from Southern Spain bc of the shared history. Still as a Moroccan myself I see more differences than similarities.
