Turkey banned vegan cheese. Not just the labeling of vegan cheeses as "cheese," like literally vegan products that resemble dairy cheese.

The pretext they gave was that vegan cheese is deceptive & violates consumer rights, guess the Turkish gov't believes that no one in their country has an IQ over 50. I'm reading now that the conservative government over there associates veganism /w leftist and globalism and that's sorta why they're doing it. This is a morally disgusting act, and a crime against all of civilization -- especially people in developing countries whose governments will have much more trouble adapting to global warming as it worsens.
This country is getting crazier and crazier as the 2023 presidential elections are getting closer. A lot has changed in one year time.
If you are that upset that stuff exists you should really just leave the planet. After all plants are green, vegans eat plants, vegans are on the left, thus the earth is a democrat. Lets destroy it.
Reminds me when the USSR tried using social Darwinism on their crops and caused a famine.

I don't know if this is true but I'm surprised people are only finding out that Erdogan treats "his" people as if they have an IQ below 50. Next thing you know, Erdogan is the next Putin and we're all surprised!

What convinces you that they think their people are of low intellect? Just curious ,_,

And how is banning vegan cheese morally disgusting?
BlueVeins · 22-25
@Iwantyourhotwife They're sayin' vegan cheese is inherently deceptive to consumers; in order for that to be true, Turks would have to be incapable of reading and understanding labels.

It's morally disgusting bc vegan cheeses are a lower-greenhouse gas alternative to dairy cheeses. This ban will exacerbate climate change, killing more people in the developing world.

@BlueVeins I see the angle you are approaching from for both points

And honestly, I never looked into how much greenhouse gases could be reduced by turning to meat alternatives tbh

That’s bizarre.
