Afghanistan

I believe the reason we lost Afghanistan is that our objective wasn't to take over the country. If we did this and then turned it over to the proper owners we might have more success. I welcome your thoughts on the subject.

Whatever the objective we had plenty of time to achieve it yet it was a total disaster.

Regime change wasn’t what was needed.
Self-determination was.
