I Have Schizophrenia

I'm in the middle of switching medications, which has been a tad rough. I believed my medicine was out to poison me, so I had to be convinced by my boyfriend to take them. I didn't want to believe him at first that the medicine was safe, but eventually he convinced me. I also have been scared to sleep because I feel I'm going to die in my sleep. So, I've not slept much. I should be sleeping right now, but I doubt I'm going to.

Although, I did talk to my therapist today, which helped a bit. Gave me the confidence I need that I can get through this, even if it's rough, and even if it takes baby steps to accomplish.

I'm glad you have a therapist working with you and someone at home to support you. My disease is different from yours but I am so grateful that I have meds to help manage the symptoms. Without them I would have a very hard time.

I hope the new meds work for you.
Thank you. I am remaining optimistic that they will. I am glad you have meds that help you :)
