i believe it does.as we already know mental illness like schizophrenia have a thing for alternating reality and just that really does mess up the mind and the way the person thinks or see's. anything that effects someone phonologically in a NEGATIVE way can definitely cause different displays of violence (either vocal or physical)

Most people with mental illness are more of a danger to themselves. As usual there is nothing but stigma and ignorance when it comes to mental illness.

Personality disorders are different and are not mental illness.
