I Have a Family Member With Schizophrenia

My Dad...    When I was a young kid, I always knew my dad was different from my friends' dads, but I didn't know why.
    Why dad, did you never offer to show me how to use a gun even though target shooting was your 'thing'?
    Why dad, did you not ride roller coasters, go in balloons, or other manly things, but instead left it to mom?
    Why dad, were you not interested in anything I was?
   Why did you steal from mom and my sister, pawn it for chump change, and blow the money on target shooting and Diet Mt. Dew.
    Why did you threaten to call the cops on my sister and report the car stolen, because she wouldn't agree with you and made it necessary for me to get in your face and inform you that if you did that you were no father of mine and I would kick your ass.
    Why did you smoke in the house when you were told not to because your daughter has asthma?
    Why weren't you like other dads?
     I know you were schizophrenic and had been on virtually every psych/anxiety drug known to man, but that is not an excuse for your horrible behavior.
    Is it any wonder that your wife and daughter hate you.  I am the only one left who gives a damn, so why can't you try and be a better man?
