I have a curious question - is it wrong for me to want to punch out someone who claims they have PTSD from their favorite TV series ending? Is it just a matter of them not understanding what they are claiming or being a total idiot? I doubt you can...

Everyone's response to a trauma can be different - something that may traumatize one person may be insignificant to another. But it seems that this person is using the term PTSD way too casually, which only serves to minimize how serious PTSD is to those of us who truly suffer from it.

That is just thoughtlessness with no harm intended I am sure.
I share your doubt. PTSD requires a trauma which is no low bar to pass.

They don't have a clue what PTSD really is. No point in getting angry ... just be happy they don't have it .

They honestly have no clue what it means. I'd gladly watch 1000 shows end if it meant me not feeling this way
