the wording suggests that you cheated on his emotions. he didn't expect what you did, which is something every sociopath obsesses about; analyzing. no matter how wrong you are, they will make sure you still know it.
just think of us "..paths" as 7 year olds in adult pants, we're too grown up to play with toys but hey, that's kind of our charm!
